Why I jumped on the Bandwagon ?

Take no offence when you read this title peeps! What I mean to say , I jumped the bloggers bandwagon is that I have seen many people who started to blog just because it was in vogue and would help their social media image to be more fancy. They eventually lost interest in it and the blog remains as a namesake URL in their portfolio.

I had a notion that people who are writers have their lives sorted to the very core and hence they have beautiful story lines on their blogs. Mine has none of it. Neither my life is sorted nor I can think of any mystic situations out of the ordinary.

The 2022 resolution:

My 2022 resolution was to just try and make more sense about my living. Hence, I started journaling my daily tasks, thoughts and to-do list. Within a month of doing this, I realized that my day was more productive .The more things I checked off from my to-do list , the more motivated I was to wake up the next day and get things done. The mindless scrolling on social media stopped and I was inspired to write down small things I loved about my day.

I felt more and more satisfied with how my day ended. I am hopeful that I will stick to it (fingers crossed )

My journal which has sorted my life.

Things I learned from writing

Writing gave clarity to my thoughts. Like a vent , as I started putting thoughts into words my mind felt more at peace.

If you are someone who want to start blogging, here are few things which helped me -

  1. Maintain a separate notebook / journal.
  2. Writing down your daily thoughts , to-do lists , try describing your day for 30 days straight.
  3. Read more books (any genre is fine as long as it helps you to enhance your vocabulary)
  4. Write down your short term and long term goals .(Ex. short term goal can be journaling everyday & long term can be being a published writer)
  5. If an idea or topic interests you , write it down immediately or make voice note of it. This would help you gain confidence in your writing and you won’t forget about it.

You don't have to come up with anything extraordinary to start writing , a simple description of how you day went or what you had for breakfast can help you be a writer. Take it from me, kid — I’ve been there, done it, seen it all ;)
